Maximum hand held anemometers are ideal instruments for wind measurement in virtually any setting. They are lightweight, portable, easy to read and extremely durable. They feature precision components and instrumentation, and are individually wind-tunnel tested for accuracy. Both the DIC-3 and BTC models feature our unique folding 3-cup design which makes safe storage easier and allows for consistently accurate readings regardless of orientation. Our 3-cup anemometer is non-directional, unlike fan-type anemometers which must be aimed precisely into the wind for accurate measurement.
Designed as a self-contained instrument, there are no exterior cables, tubes or other extensions. The housing for these instruments is made of black ABS with 1/8” thick walls and the wind sensing cups are made of Lexan to permit a high degree of flex without failure. Internally, both instruments utilize a patented rotor assembly and a stainless steel cup shaft that revolves between two sets of stainless steel, instrument quality ball bearings. A padded, rip-stop nylon carrying case is included to protect the instrument and to preserve a high level of system accuracy.
